Manchester’s Conversation on Culture

What gives you goosebumps?

What BIG (or small) ideas do you have for the city?

What is at the cultural heart of your community?

We are crafting a new ten year cultural plan for Manchester, hand-in-hand with the people and visitors of this city.

We want to understand what type of creativity or culture gives you goosebumps, what BIG (or small) ideas do you have for the city and what is at the cultural heart of your community.

By ‘culture’ we mean everything from art and performance like dance and music, galleries and museums to hands on art and craft lessons or making your own videos. It’s about the things you do creatively yourself and what you like to see and enjoy including going to festivals and community events.

CULTURE UPDATES

Manchester Culture Awards 2023

In December we took the consultation direct to the people at the Manchester Culture Awards 2023.

We captured the thoughts, ideas, hopes and dreams on what culture should look like in Manchester for the next ten years from those attending the awards.

On March 3rd 2024 we presented the findings from the consultation stage of the cultural strategy to residents at an event at HOME.
